Dancing Stronger: Strength & Conditioning for Dancers

  • The Center for Ballet Arts 3928 Pender Drive, Suite 200 Fairfax, Virginia, 22030 United States (map)

Strength and conditioning is about much more than building muscle—it is one of the most valuable tools for helping dancers move with greater control, confidence, and longevity.

This workshop explores how targeted strength and conditioning can enhance technique, improve movement quality, support artistry, and reduce the risk of injury. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how supplemental training can help dancers build the strength, stability, mobility, and body awareness needed to perform at their highest potential.

Designed for dance educators, assistant teachers, and advanced dancers, this workshop provides practical, evidence-informed strategies that can be incorporated into both personal training and dance instruction to support healthier, stronger, and more resilient dancers.

*This workshop is lead and taught by Coralynn Celeste.
